Westen Italian Restaurant in Tsuen Wan!

Let me introduce a westen Italian restaurant to you !

 They only have two shops in Tsuen Wan. The Olive Cafe!

Two of their shop were not very big, each can only seat about 50 people, i think it is less seat because of the rental is very high nowadays. If you really want to try this restaurant, make sure you have reservation first.

Back to their food! i have order a set dinner and spaghetti, but before we order anything, their waitress already served us with bread and water, then give me the menu and explain the special dinner set to me.

The Starter (鴨胸鵝肝卷)

Main Course (羊架)

Second main course (意大利風乾火腿大蝦意粉)

Dessert (Cheese Cake)

the staffs were polite, fast in refill water, explain menu clearly which is very good. But for this location, the price is a bit expensive than other restaurants. And becaues overall the quality of food and staff is good, so the restaurant can run continuously.

I recommend you and go to try the Olive Cafe next time when you walk pass Tsuen Wan.

Say hi to everyone. Do you like the weather now? Winter is coming. Here, I would like to share some desserts to stimulate your tongue :)

In Yuen Long, not only some unique Japanese foods but also the special desserts for you guys. As you all know,"b仔涼粉"&"泛后甜品" which are serving the traditional desserts are so well-known in Yuen long.Here i will introduce a dessert house and a Japanese restaurant for you!

Our first stop, i will introduce a japanese restaurant called "金田長壽司日本料理"Kam Tin Long Sushi Restaurant. It has a great variety of Japanese foods. Besides, it also has "Sushi Cake". Funny? 

It always have a long queue outside the restaurant. In fact, i love this restaurant so much. I go there several times a year. However, the price of there becomes more and more expensive. It's worth to have a try. :)Here we go!

The food of there is very fresh that I'm lovin' it. The taste is good, too.
Tips: Avoiding go there on 1900-2000,  you should go there before or after these time that can escape the long queue. :)

For the second stop, we move to the dessert house called "綿綿冰".As the name of the dessert house, you should know what desserts it sells. Yup!!! It's snowflake ice!!! This kind of food came from Taiwan. It has many tastes of ice, sauces and toppings you can choose. Here are some tastes I choose. I LOVE THE CONDENSED MILK SAUCE SO MUCH!!!!It can matches with all tastes of ice!!!!

Other than the ice, it provides some snacks such as chicken wings, French Fries, fishball, etc and some traditional desserts.

Next station: Tsim Sha Tsui part I

Sup everyone!

This blog post and the coming one will introduce great dishes within Jordan and Tsim Sha Tsui to you guys.

As we know that Hong Kong is a shopping and food paradise; so, whenever you go to Tsim Sha Tsui, you will think of famous shopping malls, luxury brands and the gorgeous Victoria Harbour view. What about the food in Tsim Sha Tsui? Can you think of any? If your mind is empty, no worries! Today Fione will lead you guys to hunt some delicious cuisine in this district within a day, are you ready?! (Warning: Hold your napkins to avoid drooling.) 

First station is to find a good place for today's BREAKFAST!

I recommend this restaurant in Jordan, their famous food is fried eggs and the pork macaroni. However, due to the popularity of this restaurant, there's always an awfully long line outside, and one has to wait for around 15-30 mins. However, it is worthwhile to do so, the scramble egg is extremely tender and i think its probably because they mix milk together with the egg.  On the second hand, the soup for the pork macaroni is tasty and it flavors the macaroni successfully. Have a try in this restaurant! You won't be regretted to have a nice breakfast when you are starving in the morning. ;]

 In case you don't like to eat too much in the morning, another place is located in Jordan will be recommended to you. This shop provides variety of snacks such as fish balls, fried noodles etc. But the most savory stuff are the Steamed rice noodle rolls (Cheung Fun) and Siu Mai!! The Cheung Fun here was rolled by hands which makes it become very, very soft. It is pretty rare since more and more food is made by machines in Hong Kong nowadays.

LUNCH time!

Um.. Its time for some food from other country and which will be....... the Vietnamese food! 

For our lunch, i will recommend you guys to get into this restaurant and enjoy the- Ho Fan with raw meat. Hey! Don't worry, the raw meat are not bloody as what you are expecting right now. By the time you eat it, the meat will become ripe due to the hot soup (by the way the soup is very tasty) in the bowl. Don't forget to add the sauce, it tastes a little bit spicy and sour which can bring up your appetite.  ;]

いらさい~ (Welcome in Japanese)

Hey everyone, long time no see la ~~ Today let's travel to Japan !!! 行きますよ！！Go,go go ~~ !!!

The restaurant that i recommend is Azabu Sabo (麻布茶坊)

Azabu Sabo is a cafe style restaurant which provide many japanese  food and desert. They have many brand located in Hong Kong, Tai Wan and Japan as well.

Now, let's show two of dessert that I had try in it.

Green Tea mousses puff (綠茶慕絲芭菲)

As you see, there're is a very big ice-cream with green tea sources. So, I just recommended that, not eat too much before you try this one, otherwise you will regret~~ For the taste, it's has a deep green tea flavor and really cool~

Japanese dumpling with red bean and green tea (綠茶紅豆湯圓)

For this dumpling, there're not any ingredients inside it. But, if you can taste the dumpling with that green tea sources and that sweetest red bean, then it may a perfect match !! おいしですね！！(yummy!!) The little balck bottle on photo's right hand side is syrup. Because, there're ice in it (remain it cool), so it may dilute the soup. If you add a bit syrup, it will taste more better.

In this restaurant, you can really feel that you are already in Japan. Because, the decoration and the restaurant environment will let you feel that so leisure and relax.

Bseide the dessert, you can order some pasta and a la carte. As I see the menu, it's quite delicious and attractive~ (according to the menu photos) But I'm sorry that, I haven't try them yet.  =.=''

Today i would like to recommend a Japanese ramen restaurant located in Shatin to you guys.

For me, whenever i get to try a new restaurant, i would try the simplest dish from the menu, because i believe that if the restaurant can turn a simple ingredients into a great dishes, you can actually feel the heart of the chef and how much effort they have put on the quality of food.

This is why i chose the simplest one in the list of ramen, the ramen with pork.

It was a surprise when they gave me a little snack which came with the ramen! <3 

The ramen was very soft which i enjoyed so much, but of course you can make a request if you don't like it too soft. The soup tasted marvelous! Hot vapor were still floating in the air when i  finished the bowl! @@ The pork was very tender as well, you could easily tear it into pieces and you could taste the soy sauce flavor from chewing it.

Okay! This week i will teach you how to deal with the Hong Kong lemon (Ceylon) tea ;]

1. Here is the beautiful picture of my lemon tea XD

2: Use your spoon and straw to assist to you push the lemon to the bottom

3. Use you spoon to 'squeeze' the lemon

4. Add half of the syrup and stir it, if it tastes bitter, add a little bit more. *if you can do it successfully without adding more syrup, CONGRATS! 'cause i can never make it-_-

Shanghai Xiao Nan Guo Cuisine ~

The Shanghai Xiao Nan Guo Cuisine is a Chinese restaurant providing new style Shanghainese cuisine to their customers.

How is the new Shanghainese cuisine? let's have a look~

Starter, with 勳魚, 海蜇, 糖醋小排骨, 腐皮卷, 雞絲粉皮, etc.

the 糖醋小排骨 taste sour and sweet, but it was too sour, somebody may like it, but not me >_<

One of the main cuisine you must try !!

蟹粉豆腐煲~

Tou-Fu with crab, I think this cuisine is great match with rice!! i did not try because we order too much and i don't have chance to try, but you should !!

龍蝦拌年糕~

It tasted quiet good but i think the lobster was not enought.

At the end of the dinner, we have an exquisite dessert.

All sweet dim sum was counted in five, it show like a flower. All of the dim sum was made by red been and peanuts.

The food of the restaurant was fine but because we have crab and lobster in the dinner, so the price of this dinner was a little expensive.

but by the way, Shanghai Xiao Nan Guo Cuisine is a great restaurant to have dinner with family and gathering with friends~

Next station: Frozen Yougurt

After the hot trend of “bubbble Tea” from Taiwan, there is a trend of “Frozen Yogurt” from the foreign countries. Here I found some places to enjoy the Frozen Yogurt. It is different from the yougurt you buy in supermarket.It has the base original yogurt like the taste of ice cream and you can add some of the toppings to make your yogurt tasty.

Here is my 1^st try of Frozen Yogurt called “Yogurt Town” in Tuen Mun at "Tuen Mun Town Centre".

I think it is worth for me to try it. The price is cheap, but the taste is no bad. Not worse than those brand-name shop. It's cool enough for the yogurt. I love the original taste so much, even it provides just 3-4 base taste you can choose. The base yogurt is served by their staff, then you can add your toppings on your own.  The minimum price is the base of yogurt $15 then add weight for the toppings.

Second, I will introduce you guys the one in TST called "BEST BERRY" at both "the one" and "I square".

It's the one which is all round served by their staff for you whatever to add the toppings. The volume was set. There are 2 sizes which is regular and large. The price of this shop is a bit expensive, however, the taste is really not bad. The large size is over $40. It gives seat for the customers, too.

The third one I will introduce also in TST called "Tuttimelon" at "the one".

This shop is all served by yourself from the base yogurt to add the toppings except fo the cashier XD There are lots of taste of yogurt that you can choose such as original, blueberry, tiramisu, yakult, strawbbery, etc. The yogurt machine place outside the shop, and the shop gives seat for both inside and outside. The taste is of there is quite good. Besides, the price is also by weighting them instead of being set.

The forth one i introduce the one called "CRUMBS" in  Mong Kok.

The design of this shop is a bit different from the others. You can see the picture above that  it use a cup instead of a box :) The price on this shop is common that it's a reasonable price. Remember!!!!!!!!On SATURDAY, it's free of one toppings!!!!!!!!! By the way, it's not much toppings that can choose. Besides, it has another product - Cake selling in the shop.

Last but not least, I am going to introduce the one in Sai Kung called "Mr. Froyo"

I am amazing that i meet Frozen Yougurt even I am in Sai Kung. I am surely have a try on it. I ask the staff whether it has another branch in Hong Kong. She said it is the only one in Hong Kong but it's in Sai Kung - far far away from us! And she told me that it just opened since August this year. The taste here is good. And the volume here is enough. This shop also have 2 size which is regular and large. But, the large one is more worthy to eat. It just add 5 dollars from the regular to obtain 2 more toppings. There is many chioces of toppings, too. I love the environment of this shop and the friendly staff. There are both inside and outside seats for the customer although it's just a few seats.The staff gives a big volume of toppings, too.

Next station: Tuen Mun

I love eating so much,so I always find somewhere to eat. This time,i went to Tuen Mun, the near district to Yuen Long - my living place finding something special meals for you. The restaurant I reccommend to you guys called樂融融”Cafe Fusion”. The environment in there is comfortable and relax that it uses apple green color for the decoration. Also, It uses open kitchen that you can see what the chef they are doing. The outside view is make me relax, too. It also provides seats in the outside open area.

 

Moving to the foods, I went there having a tea time and orderd tea

Sets.I highly reccommend the芝士手打牛肉漢堡 “Beef Cheese Hamburger” (the upper one).I think It’s more delicious than the one which is the so called brand of hamburger. The beef is juicy enough. Also the豬扒包”Pork burger” is delicious, too. But, the beef ham is the best.haha..:)

Besides, I’ve ordered a fresh juice雪梨火龍果汁”Pear Pitaya Juice” that you can choose your own combination of fruits that it can provide. It’s fresh enough for me. But, actually my combination of fruits are a bit strange.haha..XD
